From 1928 to 2016: Domus magazine is celebrating its 1000th issue on newsstands, an achievement reached with over 88 years of research, in-depth reports, critiques and popularisation focused on every theme of living and habitation.
Edited by Fulvio Irace and with the graphic design of Italo Lupi, Domus 1000 is an unprecedented editorial project, created by an ensemble of voices and an all-star team. In fact, for the occasion, the nine editors who have directed Domus since Gio Ponti, from 1979 to today, have all been invited to offer their contribution: Alessandro Mendini, Mario Bellini, Vittorio Magnago Lampugnani, François Burkhardt, Deyan Sudjic, Stefano Boeri, Flavio Albanese, Joseph Grima and the current editor Nicola Di Battista.
The result is a kaleidoscope of visions, creative languages and contemporary suggestions focused on the future development of themes concerning architecture and design.
